Welcome to the new site for the Save Darfur campaign supported by Liberal Youth.
| Over the next few weeks we'll be adding to the news and events listed on this site. The site is part of the world-wide effort to focus attention on the plight of the people of the Darfur region of Sudan. As many as 2.5 million people have been displaced while estimates of the number of dead range from 200,000 to 400,000. It's genocide and some of the most powerful leaders in the world have acknowledged it as such. Nevertheless, little has been done to end the five year long conflict. |

It might seem like individuals can contribute little to the solution but by working together to ensure that the victims of the war are not forgotten we can help to change the attitudes of world leaders and bring an end to a conflict which has caused so much suffering.
